PCOC Staff

Head of Staff – Rev. Barb LeFevre Lyons

What I love most about PCOC is the embracing warmth of the people here.  But I also love the diversity, the intelligence and the open-mindedness I have found at this church.  I grew up in Colorado Springs, but after graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary with my M.Div., I spent 20 years serving churches in Southern California.  I have been the lead pastor at Covenant since 2007.  My vision for PCOC includes deepening our connections with each other and representing the Kingdom of God in how we love the community around us and the world.  I am married to Pierre Lyons, a flight attendant for Southwest Airlines, and we have two boys, Payce and Jaxon. Minister of Music – Joshua K. Brown

I am excited and blessed to join the PCOC staff and community (August 2013) all the way from Texas. I feel that PCOC is truly a Christ-centered community of love and grace. I am passionate about music and worship, along with volunteering as a leader to PCOC Youth.  I am a Master of Music graduate from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Music graduate from the University of Texas. I  have been an active voice teacher with students who have achieved membership in the Texas All-State Choir, superior ratings, and outstanding performer awards at the UIL State Solo and Ensemble competition. I previously served as the Director of Music at First United Methodist Church in Lockhart and Grand Saline, Texas. Email Joshua at joshua@presbycov.org.

Director of Children and Youth – Abby McCubbin

Abby is our new Director of Children and Youth!  Abby is a recent graduate of Northwestern College, a Reformed college in Orange City, Iowa.  Her Major was theater arts with a minor in youth ministry.  Abby is a lifelong Presbyterian who grew up at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Arvada, CO.  She participated in Godly Play as a child and is now an experienced Story Teller.  It truly feels that Abby was tailor made for us.  Abby has a delightful personality.  She is an extrovert, an innovator and an initiator.  She will be a fantastic addition to our gifted staff! Email Abby at abby@presbycov.org.

Office Manager – Tracy Kaminsky

I love working at PCOC because from the minute I walked in the door for my interview, I felt welcomed by the staff, volunteers, congregation members, and the many other community members that enjoy this space.  It feels like much more than a church to me.  I am a native of Colorado and most recently earned a Certificate in Events Management from Arapahoe Community College.  I have a passion for planning Corporate events and meetings. I have over 12 years of office administration experience.  It is my hope to help make the church office a well run, warm and fun place to work or visit.  I have two great young adult daughters, Sarah and Emily, as well as lots of family nearby that I enjoy spending time with.  I love to cook, historical fiction, trips to the mountains, my sister’s dog, and any time outdoors. Email Tracy at office@presbycov.org.

Accompanist – Linda Marshall

I enjoy being a part of the PCOC staff as I am surrounded by smart, thoughtful, and fun people who take the responsibility of leading worship seriously.  I am able to share my gifts in a meaningful way with the trust and support of a fabulous group of colleagues.  While originally from New York, I consider myself a Coloradoan as I have lived here for the past 33 years.  I graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Communications and Music.  I have been a church accompanist for the past 35 years as well as a private music instructor and music department head at a local private primary school. I have been privileged to serve PCOC for the past 10 years. I have a teenage daughter, two Golden Retrievers, and two tabby cats, and I enjoy time spent with all.
